Todd has worked on Broadway, off-Broadway and regional theatres as an assistant and associate designer. A graduate from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with an MFA in scenic design, he studied with John Ezell and was the recipient of a Hall Family Foundation Scholar. He also has an MA in Theatre from the University of Central Missouri, and a BA from Drury University in Speech and Dramatic Arts and Art History.
Originally from Independence, MO Todd was encouraged his senior year at Harry Truman High School by is Drama teacher to pursue a career in set design, prompting him to shift at the end of football season to starting rehearsal in SUMMER AND SMOKE.
He has written and illustrated a children’s book published in 2014 titled JIMMY JACK GETS A NEW JOB. He resides in Naples, FL and continues to paint, draw and occasionally design sets for the Naples Players.
